Pursuant to global environmental treaties, governments all over the world are providing support to the renewable energy industry. But it doesn’t stop there, the general public is also exploring alternative sources of energy, leading to better demand for products. EnerDynamic Hybrid Technologies Corp. (TSX-Venture:EHT) is one of the leading renewable energy providers in Canada. The company is in a prime position to benefit from growing support for renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. The company yesterday announced a new strategic partnership with Northern Shield Development Corp. (NSDC). The collaboration calls for the integration of EnerDynamic Hybrid Technologies’ solar embedded structurally insulated panels or SIP with NSDC’s complementary SIP housing system for providing better services and products for renewable energy projects, especially in First Nation areas.

John Gamble, CEO of EHT said "This partnership will demonstrate a unique building envelope that is extremely energy efficient and almost self supporting in its need for energy in an environment where energy costs are prohibitively expensive." NSDC president Steve Marshall said that the collaboration between the firms will help produce unique products.

The collaboration will start the joint work on the Brunswick House First Nation located near Chapleau, Ontario. It will also trial the Enertec system on an under-construction 1,100 square foot home being built by NSDC. Marshall said that SIP panels are efficient and durable while also being resilient towards fire and mould.

EnerDynamic Hybrid Technologies’ product design eliminates the needs for glass panels and aluminum racking. These two factors lead to heavier weight of solar panels, which inhibit the adoption of solar energy owing to higher labor and transportation costs. EnerDynamic Hybrid Technologies is in a position to capture significant share of the market with its lightweight and thus more cost-efficient products.

The company products are expected to have better demand as the payback period for these products is shorter than average. Since the EHT embedded solar roof is able to produce more energy than its competitors, it may also be attached to the battery storage system or micro grid, leading to the creation of a potential revenue stream for the users.

EnerDynamic Hybrid Technologies has adopted an aggressive policy for its products. The company had recently announced signing a Letter of Intent for building 50,000 homes in Ivory Coast for a branch of the military. It is likely that the contract will be signed in January, 2017. Earlier this year, it sold its first Microgrid system. Also, today the Company signed a letter of intent to acquire Fairfax, Virginia based EEB Systems LLC, the modular housing division of U.S. government contractor Technology and Supply Management LLC.

This Company is making waves recently, so its no surprise that the company’s stock grew an astounding 1150% in the past 12 months. However, in the latter half of the year, the stock gave up some of those gains. At last check, shares are currently trading higher by 4.55% at $0.23 mid-way through the trading day.
