Depth
and Diversity of Mining Properties is Key for Golden Chalice
Resources Inc. (V.GCR)
by Greg Moses - AllPennyStocks.com News Reporter
April 12, 2007 (AllPennyStocks.com Media Inc.) - Mining is
a key Canadian sector and one junior mining exploration
Company is making a bold move and gaining Industry Notice.
When looking for mining opportunities, the old adage still
holds true today, “return to areas near formerly successful
mines”, as a starting point.
Golden Chalice Resources Inc., based in Vancouver BC, has
acquired a large portfolio of 35 properties primarily in
Ontario and New Brunswick, both active and inactive, which
show great promise. The Company’s efforts span gold, diamonds,
and the spectrum of all the base metals as targets, using
today’s advanced technology.
The Company has been widely featured with interviews and
analysis at
http://www.smartstox.com/interview/gcr/, as well as the
highly regarded SMARTSTOX Report On-Line at
http://www.smartstox.com/reports/GCR.pdf.
GCR has drill programs active in 2007 on a number of prospects
in Ontario, New Brunswick and the Yukon. The Company has been
able to attract, in demand, mining talent which is critical.
Within a staff of 25, there are 5 Geologists and an array of
technically skilled Geological and Geophysical technicians in
the camps supporting the various sites.
In Ontario, the Company is following up on a previous
exploration program at their Langmuir nickel property
southeast of Timmins. The earlier work identified
mineralization that suggests nickel sulphide deposits could be
present.
At their Abitibi East property in Ontario, drilling last year
identified VMS style zinc-lead-copper mineralization, as found
at the famous Kidd Creek mine to the east. Golden Chalice
hopes to zero in on a massive sulphide deposit, that they
believe could be near a volcanic vent that brought the
mineralization to the surface.
Infrastructure is in place for all the properties in Ontario
and New Brunswick. All the properties are accessible by road,
close to power sources, and proximity to a readily available,
and experienced work force. Milling and/or smelting and
refining facilities are within a half hour or a few hours
drive.
The Bathurst properties hold much promise for the Company in
New Brunswick. The Bathurst base metal mining district is host
to over forty-five volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits
including the world class Brunswick #12 zinc, silver, lead,
copper deposit. The World Class Brunswick #12, mine has
produced 90 – 120 plus million tones of ore since beginning
operation in 1964.
Equally important is the Management of the Company. Golden
Chalice Resources is led by two Industry veterans. John G.
Keating is the President and CEO with over 25 years of
experience in the metals and minerals industry. He most
recently directed the successful financing, development and
commencement of Black Bull Resources White Rock Mine in Nova
Scotia.
Richard W. Hughes is Chairman of the Board and is widely
recognized as one of the original people behind the discovery
of the Hemlo gold mines in Ontario and was also behind the
discovery of the Balmoral Mine in Quebec and involved in
others. Mr. Hughes founder of The Hughes Exploration Team has
six companies listed on the Toronto Venture Stock Exchange.
