Partner Solutions
EZ-License A complementary software application from
Positive Access Corporation that works in conjunction with
MobileCop® to enable a law enforcement or authorized traffic
officer to swipe a magnetic stripe or scan the bar code on
the back of a driver’s license and import that information
directly into MobileCop. Once the information is in

solution-enabled devices. Video that’s available at the
command center is now immediately and directly accessible by
police, fire and other first responders in the field. With
IntelliViewer on MobileCop®, MobileRescue™ or PocketCop®
devices, they can remotely access and monitor video feeds
from enabled surveillance and security cameras anywhere in
the community.
iPass Over-the-air device management software that
moves updated releases of MobileCop to the laptop in the
patrol car over a network and installs them with minimal (or
no) user intervention, significantly decreasing the
administrative overhead and time associated with deploying
MobileCop upgrades to the entire fleet. In addition to
MobileCop upgrades, iPass can be used for remote updates of
other software on the mobile devices (e.g., operating system
and browser software), as well as enhanced file transfer
functions.
Electronic Ticketing BIO-key offers customers a
choice of the two leading electronic citation solutions –
both integrated with MobileCop – that enable law enforcement
officers to issue a traffic citation from the mobile data
computer in the patrol vehicle:
o QuickTicket from Advanced Public Safety (APS)
o MobileCitations from Cardinal Tracking
These solutions quickly pay for themselves:
o improving the accuracy of citation data for later court
disposition,
o pulling relevant data from MobileCop and the agency’s CAD,
o and auto-populating fields into electronic citation form
on the computer screen.
The traffic offender’s information is obtained utilizing the
data returned from NCIC and motor vehicle queries through
MobileCop, and/or the information provided on the driver’s
license (which can be captured with the EZ-License solution
described above). With a compatible remote printer, a paper
citation can be printed on-scene, reducing time and cost to
the agency.
MTG with RadioRoam Connectionware from Radio IP Software
that lets a MobileCop user connect from more than one
available network. Together with the MobileCop InfoServer
capability to simultaneously support two or more
heterogenous networks, MTG allows the agency to take
advantage of existing high-speed public communications
networks or 802.11 hotspots, either to leverage the faster
speeds of these systems or to serve as back-up to their
primary radio network. MTG with RadioRoam® seamlessly and
efficiently finds the best connection for each user at any
given time.
Biometrics: BIO-key’s patented, high-performance
biometric finger identification technology accurately
identifies and authenticates users of wireless and enterprise
data to improve security, convenience and privacy while
reducing identity theft. BIO-key’s biometric technology is a
step ahead of AFIS or other biometric systems for real-time
identification of individuals. Our technology provides a very
discriminating set of data, allowing us to do positive
identification based on a single finger scan. Utilization of
our biometric software technology provides corporations and
agencies with the highest security to ensure the safety and
steadfast protection of valuable information as well as the
ultimate tool to prevent identity theft.
The advantages of BIO-key's technology stem from Bio-Key's
finger identification algorithm, Vector Segment Technology™ (VST).
VST offers the critical ingredient that most security
solutions lack, true identification.
BIO-key’s patented Vector Segment Technology™ (VST) with
True User Identification (TUI™) is a fingerprint algorithm and
database development toolset that allows users to tightly
integrate biometric verification and/or identification into
new or existing applications and middleware. VST with TUI
includes all the tools needed by developers and integrators to
quickly and easily add secure and super-scalable fingerprint
verification and identification functionality to applications
and product platforms, giving them complete control over the
user environment and authentication processes.
VST accuracy has been validated by the National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST), the US government’s
independent testing laboratory and standards body.
NIST, using test databases totaling more than 11 million
people, validated VST performance in more than 3.3 trillion
match operations. The largest test database, collected by the
US Department of Homeland Security via the USVISIT program,
yielded a true match rate for VST of 99.33% using just a two
finger match set.
There are two forms of biometric fingerprint technology:
Verification, which requires an accompanying user ID, password
or PIN to perform a 'one to one match' to establish a person's
identity. This technique does not prevent a person enrolling
into a system under multiple identities/names and requires the
deployment and the associated upkeep of the user ID, password,
PIN or token.
Identification, which requires only a biometric sample,
such as a fingerprint, and nothing else. The user does not
have to remember anything, cannot lose anything, and is
protected against identity transfer and theft.
How True Identification Can Increase Profitability
Protection against data loss: When users integrate BIO-key
technology into their applications, their employees,
customers, or business partners no longer need passwords,
cards or tokens that can be exchanged or stolen. Their
proprietary data is more secure when protected by biometric
data alone.
Lower administration costs: Once users register their
fingers in a BIO-key system, no ongoing administration is
necessary. Unlike passwords, which require regular updates and
changes, fingerprints are good for life.
Lower support costs: BIO-key systems eliminate help desk
calls for forgotten passwords or PINs. (A national survey
showed that help desk calls for forgotten passwords cost $150
to $300 annually per person for every person on the system)
Protection against fraud: With BIO-key, there is no reason
for customers to continually send credit card numbers or other
sensitive information over the Internet.
Consumer confidence: Although many individuals participate
in Internet commerce, many more are afraid to purchase online
because of discomfort with security levels. The superior
security provided by BIO-key technology increases consumer
confidence and helps you get and keep customers.
Signature guarantee: If you accept digital signatures or
e-sign, can you be sure that the signature really belongs to
the party using it? BIO-key can be employed to guarantee
digital signatures.
Other Benefits of BIO-key Technology
In addition to its security and profitability benefits,
BIO-key technology also offers:
An open architecture integrates easily into existing
applications and databases.
Speed. Bio-key's algorithm identifies users in 2 seconds or
less, regardless of database size. This makes BIO-key an ideal
security solution for companies both large and small.
Flexibility. Bio-key's technology works with many different
fingerprint reading devices from multiple manufacturers.
Highly accurate. The performance rate of Bio-key's finger
identification algorithm reaches far beyond industry
standards.
Web compatibility to any ISP.
Multi-layer, triple encryption to prevent fraudulent
capture or replay of fingerprint data.
Compatible with virtually every major fingerprint
reader/manufacturer, giving you flexibility to choose the
reader for your application. With a single enrollment, install
different readers for desktops, laptops, public portals, PDAs,
wireless devices and doors (entry access).
What is Biometrics?
Biometrics is the science and technology of measuring and
statistically analyzing biological data. Today, many companies
are exploring biometric technologies for authenticating users.
Fingerprint, voice, signature, hand geometry, face geometry
and iris or retinal scans are all in use today. Each different
type has its advantages and disadvantages, making each
suitable for different types of applications. Fingerprint is
the most mature and most commonly used type for most
applications. Fingerprint readers have matured and practical
to deploy, Every major laptop manufacturer offers embedded
readers in their standard offerings. BIO-key works with every
major fingerprint reader manufactuer, giving you the
flexibility to choose the best reader for each application.
You can even install a variety of readers for different
purposes, such as desktops, laptops, public portals, PDAs,
wireless devices and doors (entry access), all with a single
enrollment.
Fingerprint biometric systems are more mature than other types
of biometric systems and offer superior accuracy. They
represent an easy and affordable way for applications to
quickly and easily determine the identity of someone looking
to access a facility, on-line account or database. BIO-key's
fingerprint biometric identification software can be adopted
into any existing or new application and improves system
security while reducing the headaches and costs associated
with supporting traditional password and/or token based
security systems.
Each fingerprint is unique. Also, each finger on each hand is
unique. So if a Right Index Finger of person A is enrolled,
they must use the Right Index to authenticate... all other
fingers on the same person are different. So a biometric
security application can be implemented to define specific
fingers for specific actions or meanings. For example, Right
and left index fingers are used to allow "normal" entry into
an application, while the right middle finger used to identify
entry into the application "under duress".
