Demand for cannabis products is on an upward trajectory with the industry expected to be worth over $50 billion by 2026. An improving regulatory stance for such products has attracted new players to the market. ChineseInvestors.com Inc. (OTCQB:CIIX) is a China-focused financial information provider which is now diversifying into the hemp products market. The company is looking to leverage its Chinese market expertise to drive growth of its hemp products. The company recently launched www.ChineseCBDoil.com. The endeavor marked the company's official entry into the CBD hemp oil markets. The new initiative will help the company in diversifying its portfolio and boost its revenue streams. It will also provide geographical diversification to the company.

Hemp based products are fast gaining acceptance as the regulatory and social environment is becoming increasingly lax. Hemp based products, especially the ones with medicinal properties, are expected to witness sharp increases in demand in the near future.

The company CEO Warren Wang stated that ChineseInvestors.com will continue to sell CBD health products through online retailing methods in China. The company is also looking to diversify into offline selling channels as well. ChineseInvestors.com will be seeking out additional investments and alliances for furthering its reach in China.

Speaking at the recent annual conference of Shangdong Yibao Biologics Co. Ltd., the company CEO Warren Wang said that the company’s collaboration with Shangdong has led it to have a deeper understanding of direct selling channels in China. The company will be leveraging this experience for furthering its growth in China.

ChineseInvestors.com had reported a 133% increase in its three month revenue for the period ended November 30, 2016. Its rate of growth for the six-month period ended on the same date stood at 121%. ChineseInvestors.com had reported that this was the third consecutive quarter of revenue growth for the company. The company had a hectic 2016 which saw it taking a large number of initiatives. It plans to continue the trend into 2017 as well.

The company is taking out various other steps to keep up the momentum. It recently introduced a new Chinese language app, 'Da Ma Dian Ping', which specializes in providing information about cannabis oils and their availability in the United States. These steps will help consolidate the company’s leading position in the hemp-based CBD oil segment.

On the offline front, ChineseInvestors.com is looking to open a retail store in San Gabriel, California, which is also where the company is headquartered. Shares of CIIX have shown impressive growth in 2017, rising 319% so far. While shares are pulling back in today’s trade and over the last few weeks after the monster run in January, with all the positives forces in play for ChineseInvestors.com, this pullback may be short-lived.
