Dow Futures Fall Day after Index Tops 30K

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were slightly lower on Wednesday a day after the benchmark topped a significant milestone.
Futures for the 30-stock index dipped 21 points, or 0.1%, to 29,977.
Futures for the S&P 500 inched up two points, or 0.1%, at 3,634.75.
Futures for the NASDAQ Composite vaulted 43.75 points, or 0.4%, to 12,119.75
The blue-chip Dow broke above 30,000 for the first time on Tuesday, rallying more than 400 points. Tuesday''s rally put the Dow on pace for its biggest monthly gain since 1987, up more than 13%. The S&P 500, meanwhile, posted an all-time closing high on Tuesday, rising 1.6%.
Earlier this week, AstraZeneca said an early analysis showed its vaccine candidate had an average efficacy of 70%.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration made federal resources available to President-elect Joe Biden''s team for his transition into office. Traders have also cheered the naming of former Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen as Treasury Secretary.
Markets will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving, with an abbreviated session on Friday.
Overseas, in Japan, the Nikkei 225 captured 0.5%, while in Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index gained 0.3%
Oil prices added 29 cents to $45.20 U.S. a barrel.
Gold prices improved $6.70 to $1,811.30 U.S.
