Micro Cap Receives Request From Israeli Ministry Of Health

A Tel Aviv-based micro cap just announced that it received a request from the Israeli Ministry of Health to launch an immediate pilot for its Coronavirus (COVID-19) citizen quarantine compliance technology. SuperCom (Nasdaq:SPCB) said the pilot is comprised of proprietary products in SuperCom’s PureHealth technology suit to include the PureCare smartphone and PureTag ankle bracelet, which will help people  comply with their quarantine requirements.

SuperCom Ltd. is an Israel-based provider of traditional and digital identity solutions, advanced IoT and connectivity solutions, and cybersecurity products and solutions to governments and private and public organizations throughout the world. It comprises of three main Strategic Business Units: e-Gov; IoT and Connectivity, which is the key revenue driver; and Cyber Security. Besides, it also offers a wide range of solutions that include national ID registries, e-passports, biometric visas, automated fingerprint identification systems, digitized driver's licenses, and electronic voter registration and election management using the common platform. Its geographical segments include Africa, European countries, South & Central America, the United States, Israel, and others.

Traders were bullish on the news as shares traded up to a session high of $1.71/share (+14.76%). This move is a breath of fresh air as shares have been experiencing a pull back after hitting a six-month high of $2.42 in mid-February.
