A London-based biotech company caught the attention of traders on Wednesday after it was announced that Moderna Inc. (Nasdaq:MRNA), a biotechnology company pioneering messenger RNA (mRNA) therapeutics and vaccines, has exercised its option to license the company’s proprietary binders against an undisclosed immuno-oncology target for the development and commercialization of mRNA therapeutics.

Naturally, traders got excited on the news and bought up shares of Autolus Therapeutics plc (Nasdaq:AUTL) until shares touched $3.54/share (+18.79%) at the session high. This move was a strong continuation of the success this stock has had since the beginning of this month.

Autolus Therapeutics PLC is a biopharmaceutical company developing next-generation programmed T cell therapies for the treatment of cancer. The company's clinical-stage pipeline comprises Obe-cel (obecabtagene autoleucel), AUTO1/22, AUTO3, AUTO5, AUTO6, AUTO7 & AUTO8.
