The importance of sustainability is a common goal across geographic borders. This company operates with a strategic goal, setting a carbon neutral target and by operating with a top-down and long-term plan for ESG improvement.

Fosun International Limited (OTC: FOSUF) announced that the firm’s FTSE Russell ESG rating has improved for two consecutive years, outperforming the industry average, and has been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series for the first time, per the company’s press release.

The inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series demonstrates capital market's full affirmation of a firm’s ESG management capabilities, and requires a company to implement corporate responsibility measures in a number of areas, including working towards environmental sustainability, mitigating and adapting to climate change, countering bribery and corruption, up-holding and supporting universal human rights, labor rights and ensuring good supply chain labor standards, and comply with strict global guidelines. Inclusion is expected to greater attention from investment institutions adhering to an ESG philosophy.
