Many industries were hurt, and hurt badly, by the coronavirus pandemic. Several were collateral damage at the hands of the maritime shipping industry being crippled, choking an essential import bloodline. Basically, everything that could have went wrong did, as countries and companies fought over ships and containers, not to mention the lack of factory workers to manufacture products to fill each ship.
