Buy Lenovo Group (LNVGY) Stock for Higher Highs Ahead of Earnings?

Sporting a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), Lenovo Group LNVGY) is a tech stock that investors will certainly want to keep an eye on ahead of the company’s fiscal first-quarter report on Wednesday, August 12.

Adding to the bullish backdrop, Lenovo’s Zacks Computer-Micro Computers Industry currently ranks in the top 11% of more than 240 Zacks industries, with positive earnings estimate revisions helping to support the momentum for LNVGY shares.

Lenovo Stock Hits All-Time Highs Ahead of Earnings

Best known as one of the world's largest PC manufacturers, Lenovo has increasingly diversified its business beyond traditional personal computers, expanding into servers, infrastructure solutions, services, and artificial intelligence.

Continued momentum in PCs, growing AI adoption, and stronger demand for data-center infrastructure have boosted Lenovo's outlook, with LNVGY soaring over 200% year to date and hitting an all-time high of $74 a share in today’s trading session.

What has magnified Lenovo’s double-digit top-and bottom-line growth trajectory is that EPS estimates for its current fiscal 2027 and FY28 have surged over 40% in the last 60 days, respectively.

Lenovo’s annual earnings are now expected to increase 31% in FY27 and are projected to spike another 29% in FY28 to $5.04 per share. This comes as annual revenue is forecasted to increase over 15% for the foreseeable future, with projections heading north of $100 billion.

Lenovo’s diversified portfolio could be increasingly important as AI-related spending continues to reshape the technology landscape. To that point, Lenovo has positioned itself to participate in AI demand across devices and infrastructure, while its large PC business provides exposure to an ongoing hardware replacement cycle.

Furthermore, Lenovo has exceeded earnings expectations in each of its last four quarterly reports with a very impressive average EPS surprise of 46.79%.

Lenovo’s AI Endeavors

  • AI PCs and personal AI: Lenovo is integrating dedicated AI capabilities into PCs across its ThinkPad, Yoga, IdeaPad and Legion families. Its AI centerpiece is Lenovo Qira, introduced in 2026 as a cross-device personal AI system designed to work across PCs, smartphones, tablets and wearables. Lenovo says Qira can maintain context and continuity as users move among devices.

  • AI servers and data-center infrastructure: Through its Infrastructure Solutions Group, Lenovo sells AI-optimized servers, storage and related infrastructure for model training and, increasingly, AI inference. Its hybrid approach is designed to let customers run workloads where their data resides—on devices, at the edge, in private data centers or in the cloud.

  • Nvidia partnership and AI factories: Lenovo has expanded its partnership with Nvidia NVDA around the Lenovo Hybrid AI Advantage, combining Lenovo infrastructure and services with Nvidia's accelerated computing. Earlier this year, Lenovo also announced the Lenovo AI Cloud Gigafactory with Nvidia, aimed at AI cloud providers building extremely large-scale AI infrastructure.

  • Agentic AI and enterprise solutions: Lenovo is moving beyond supplying hardware by helping businesses deploy AI agents and applications for areas such as customer service, content creation, knowledge assistants, software development, data management and IT operations. Its AI portfolio includes more than 165 enterprise AI solutions from its partner ecosystem.

  • AI services: Lenovo also wants to monetize AI implementation and management through its Solutions and Services business—helping enterprises determine where to deploy AI, integrate it with existing systems and move projects from pilots into production. That allows Lenovo to participate in AI spending beyond the initial hardware sale.

Adding fuel to the bullish LNVGY thesis, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing has stated AI revenue has become the company's leading growth engine, highlighting its leadership in AI PCs and that its infrastructure business is experiencing rapid growth while pursuing the AI-inference opportunity.

LNVGY is Still Reasonably Valued

Further supporting the rally in Lenovo stock is that LNVGY shares are still trading at a very reasonable 18X forward earnings multiple, offering a pleasant discount to the benchmark S&P 500’s 22X and its Zacks Computer-Micro Computers Industry average of 24X, which includes noteworthy companies such as Apple AAPL) and Dell Technologies DELL).

Bottom Line

Lenovo’s record-setting rally has been backed by an increasingly attractive growth story, with the company benefiting from continued momentum in PCs, accelerating AI adoption, and stronger demand for data-center infrastructure.

More importantly, sharply rising EPS estimates for FY27 and FY28 suggest Lenovo stock could be positioned for higher highs if its upcoming quarterly results can reinforce the bullish earnings outlook.
