Here's How Much a $1000 Investment in Parker-Hannifin Made 10 Years Ago Would Be Worth Today

How much a stock's price changes over time is a significant driver for most investors. Not only can price performance impact your portfolio, but it can help you compare investment results across sectors and industries as well.

FOMO, or the fear of missing out, also plays a role in investing, particularly with tech giants and popular consumer-facing stocks.

What if you'd invested in Parker-Hannifin (PH) ten years ago? It may not have been easy to hold on to PH for all that time, but if you did, how much would your investment be worth today?

Parker-Hannifin's Business In-Depth

With that in mind, let's take a look at Parker-Hannifin's main business drivers.

Based in Cleveland, OH, Parker-Hannifin Corporation is a global diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems. The company provides precision-engineered solutions for a wide variety of mobile, industrial and aerospace markets. On a geographical basis, the company has operations in North America (67.5% of fiscal 2025 net sales), Europe (19.5%), the Asia Pacific (11.9%) and Latin America (1.1%).

The Diversified Industrial Segment (67.2% of fiscal 2026 sales): This segment is engaged in the production of a wide range of motion-control and fluid systems and components. The products offered by this segment are used in transportation, mobile construction, refrigeration and air conditioning, agriculture and other markets.

The segment sells its products through two main channels, namely, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and an extensive distribution network serving smaller OEMs and the aftermarket.

Bottom Line

Putting together a successful investment portfolio takes a combination of research, patience, and a little bit of risk. For Parker-Hannifin, if you bought shares a decade ago, you're likely feeling really good about your investment today.

A $1000 investment made in August 2016 would be worth $8,473.46, or a gain of 747.35%, as of August 18, 2026, according to our calculations. This return excludes dividends but includes price appreciation.

Compare this to the S&P 500's rally of 254.92% and gold's return of 214.07% over the same time frame.

Analysts are anticipating more upside for PH.

Parker-Hannifin is benefiting from broadening industrial demand, sustained aerospace strength and a more resilient portfolio shaped by strategic acquisitions. The Win Strategy continues to support margin expansion, while management's longer-term targets point to further gains in organic growth, cash flow and earnings. Record cash generation also supports dividends and share repurchases. However, demand remains uneven in automotive and agriculture, and sizable acquisition activity raises execution and financing risk. Integration and realignment costs may weigh on reported profitability. Foreign currency and trade-related volatility add uncertainty to international results. With operating momentum improving but acquisition, leverage and macro risks still relevant, the risk-reward profile remains balanced.

The stock has jumped 10.83% over the past four weeks. Additionally, no earnings estimate has gone lower in the past two months, compared to 9 higher, for fiscal 2026; the consensus estimate has moved up as well.
