Buy 2 FBP Mutual Funds for Potential Returns

Flippin, Bruce & Porter (FBP), based in Lynchburg, VA and established in 1985, specializes in large-cap value equity, equity income and balanced portfolio management. The investment approach focuses on building equity-oriented portfolios to produce attractive current income. 

In June 2021, Cantor Fitzgerald Investment Advisors, L.P. acquired the asset management business of FBP, and the platform continues to operate in Lynchburg under the name FBP with the same investment team. John Bruce, Founder and Portfolio Manager, while leveraging Cantor Fitzgerald’s investment distribution platform and resources.  

We have picked two FBP mutual funds — Cantor Fitzgerald Commodity RetStratPort CCRSX and Cantor Fitzgerald Commodity Ret Strat CRSAX — which investors should buy now for the long term. These funds have a Zacks Mutual Fund Rank #2 (Buy), positive three-year and five-year annualized returns, minimum initial investments within $5000 and expense ratios considerably lower than the category average. So, these funds have provided a comparatively stronger performance and carry a lower fee.

Cantor Fitzgerald Commodity RetStratPort fund seeks positive total return relative to the Bloomberg Commodity Index Total Return, combining capital appreciation and income. CCRSX invests directly and indirectly in commodity-linked derivatives such as notes, futures, options and swaps, alongside fixed-income securities. 

Christopher Burton has been the lead manager of CCRSX since Feb. 28, 2006. Most of the fund’s holdings were in companies, such as Royal Bank of Canada (6%), U.S. Treasury Floating Rate Note (5.8%) and U.S. Treasury Floating Rate Note (5.5%) as of March 31, 2026.

CCRSX’s 3-year and 5-year annualized returns are 11.9% and 10.2%, respectively. Its net expense ratio is 1.05%. CCRSX has a Zacks Mutual Fund Rank #2.

Cantor Fitzgerald Commodity Ret Strat fund invests in commodity-linked derivatives and short-duration, investment-grade bonds to seek positive returns relative to the Bloomberg Commodity Index. 

Scott Ikuss has been the lead manager of CRSAX since Jan. 10,  2023. Most of the fund’s holdings were in companies, such as BNP Paribas Issuance B.V. Co (7.2%), Royal Bank of Canada (7.2%) and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (5.7%) as of April 30, 2026.

CRSAX’s 3-year and 5-year annualized returns are 11.8% and 10.2%, respectively. Its net expense ratio is 1.05%.CRSAX has a Zacks Mutual Fund Rank #2.
