A global push for sustainability has advanced the need for metals that can be used in rechargeables—and one of the most important metals is lithium. This company just completed the buy of tNorth America’s only lithium brine operation.

Canadian based advanced stage lithium company, Cypress Development Corp. (TSXV: CYP) announced that it had completed the acquisition of Enertopia Corporation's  Clayton Valley Lithium Claystone Project located adjacent to the Cypress Clayton Valley Lithium Project in Nevada.

Per the company’s press release, Cypress is working toward becoming a domestic producer of lithium for the growing electric vehicle and battery storage market. The firm is in the pilot stage of testing on material from its lithium-bearing claystone deposit and progressing towards completing a Feasibility Study.

Shares closed Wednesday trade at $1.63.
