With commodity prices running high and investor interest in mining stocks on the rise, it’s no surprise that strong drill results from one miner have sparked a fresh surge in its share price.

As mentioned, shares of Group Eleven Resources Corp. (TSX-Venture: ZNG) (OTCQB: GRLVF) are rallying on news that the company has reported encouraging drill results from its first hole targeting the “Deeper Cu-Ag Zone” at the Ballywire discovery, part of its 100%-owned PG West Project in Ireland. The hole, drilled into a 160-metre gap in prior exploration, returned significant intercepts at both the base of the Waulsortian Limestone and deeper stratigraphic levels. Notably, it cut 11.4 metres grading 139 g/t silver and 0.23% copper, including a standout 6.5 metres of 217 g/t silver and 0.34% copper, with sub-intervals running as high as 1,165 g/t silver and 1.89% copper.

Further downhole, mineralization was confirmed within the deeper Cu-Ag target horizon, where intercepts included 2.6 metres averaging 19 g/t silver, 1.07% copper, and 0.14% antimony. Additional zones were encountered, such as 17.9 metres grading 10 g/t silver and 0.37% copper, with higher-grade portions carrying over 1% copper. These results validate Group Eleven’s exploration model, confirming the presence of copper-silver-antimony mineralization beneath the Waulsortian Limestone and highlighting strong potential for expanding the Ballywire discovery at depth.

"This is the first test of our hypothesized 'Deeper Cu-Ag Target' and we are thrilled that it has borne fruit," stated Bart Jaworski, CEO. "With a viable new Cu-Ag target below our existing Zn-Pb-Ag horizon, our exploration potential has essentially doubled. We are gearing up to expand on this deeper discovery not only up and down dip, but also along our 2.6km-long strike-length of robust zinc mineralization pierced by drilling to date. As per our nearby geological analogues at Gortdrum, Denison and Tullacondra, fault-controlled Cu-Ag mineralization tends to strengthen with increased shattering along the structure. Further drilling at the 'Deeper Cu-Ag Target' will aim to identify these features. With three rigs turning each on excellent targets at Ballywire, a fourth rig likely to be added soon and a recently bolstered cash position, Group Eleven is poised to keep generating shareholder value through the drill bit for the foreseeable future."

Shares of ZNG are trading up 3.95% at $0.395, while the U.S. listing is rising 3.27% to $0.2841 in mid-morning trading.
