Junior Gold Explorer Soars Again After Tripling Its Claim Holdings in Newfoundland By: Tomas Ronolski - AllPennyStocks.com News

Despite this junior miner’s share price climbing sharply in recent weeks, the stock continued its upward momentum this morning following news of a major land expansion in a highly prospective gold belt.

As mentioned, shares of Sokoman Minerals Corp. (TSX-Venture: SIC) (OTCQB: SICNF) continue their move higher as the company announced that they have significantly expanded its land position along Newfoundland’s Valentine Lake Fault, tripling its claim area to 58,775 hectares and extending its strike length to over 65 kilometres. This acquisition makes Sokoman the largest landholder along the highly prospective regional structure that also hosts Equinox Gold Corp.’s (TSX: EQX) (NYSE American: EQX) new Valentine Gold Mine — Canada’s newest large-scale producer, which began operations in August 2025 with an initial resource of 4 million ounces. The fault system is considered a key control in gold mineralization across the region, and Sokoman’s expanded footprint strengthens its presence in one of Canada’s most promising gold belts.

Through new claim acquisitions and strategic staking, Sokoman will merge its Moosehead and Crippleback properties into the newly defined Treasure Island Project, establishing a true district-scale opportunity. The 100%-owned project hosts the advanced-stage Moosehead Zone, which has seen more than 135,000 metres of drilling and returned impressive high-grade intercepts including 70.3 g/t gold over 9.05 metres and 12.5 g/t gold over 39.6 metres. Beyond the well-defined Moosehead Zone, the remaining 63 kilometres of strike length remain largely unexplored, offering substantial discovery potential across a geological setting comparable to that of the nearby Valentine Gold Mine.

"We believe the recent claim acquisitions are fundamentally transforming the Company's exploration strategy to take a district-scale approach while remaining focused on our core mineralized zones at Moosehead. With a dominant position along the Valentine Lake Fault, we believe the Company can apply its Newfoundland expertise to make other high-grade gold discoveries," said Denis Laviolette, Executive Chairman, CEO & Director.

Shares of SIC were last trading at $0.21, up 16.67% while their U.S. symbol (SICNF) climbed 13.86% at $0.1506 in mid-morning trading.
