Junior Miner Rises on Strategic Rare Earth Project Acquisition in Ontario

Amid ongoing U.S.-China trade tensions, most recently over access to critical rare earth metals, the Western world has been actively seeking alternative sources in mining-friendly regions, particularly in North America. Today, one rare earth miner already riding a strong upward trend is fueling further investor excitement with a new acquisition announcement.

As mentioned, shares of Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) are continuing their ascent today as the company has signed an option agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Pinard Rare Earths Project, located about 70 kilometers north-northeast of Kapuskasing, Ontario. The property covers 255 contiguous mining claims over 5,178 hectares and is accessible year-round by road. The project sits within the Pinard Intrusive Rock Complex, an alkaline igneous system composed of nepheline syenites, trachytes, and peralkaline granites—geological formations commonly associated with rift and fault zones that often host rare earth mineralization. The Pinard Complex shares similarities with the nearby Clay Howell Intrusive, which contains a known rare earth deposit approximately 20 kilometers to the southwest.

Shares of PMAX are currently up 8.03% at $1.48 while U.S. listed shares (PWMXF) are up 9.01% at $1.028 in mid-morning trading.
