Scandium Explorer Jumps 15% on Shift from Metallurgical Sampling to Extension Drilling By: Dylan Sikes - AllPennyStocks.com News

For critical minerals developers with established compliant resource estimates, transitioning drill rigs from metallurgical bulk sampling to step-out extension drilling represents a key operational pivot. Shifting focus from process-testing to expanding known mineralized strike targets direct resource growth, offering the market measurable tonnage upside while analytical results from earlier campaign phases remain pending.

Scandium Canada Ltd. (TSX-Venture: SCD) (OTC: SCDCF) rose Monday after completing bulk-sample drilling at the TG Zone of its Crater Lake project in Nunavik, Québec, and immediately starting delineation, extension, and exploration drilling aimed at growing the zone.

Bulk-sample work finished August 5 with 19 holes totaling about 3,400m collared along roughly 510m of strike so the metallurgical sample represents the full TG Zone rather than a single collar. Mineralized zones were intersected visually; assays are pending. The drill has now turned to up to 36 additional holes totaling a minimum of about 4,000m. Extension drilling targets a minimum of 100m beyond each end of the currently defined ~700m TG Zone, or at least 200m of new strike that would push the zone toward about 900m if both ends succeed.

Importantly, management says success on that extension could grow the TG Zone resource by 20% to 25%, with follow-up exploration toward the Discovery Area (about 1,125m southwest) intended to test a prospective footprint of about 1.5 kilometres. Through Scalium+, the company also commercializes aluminum-scandium alloys while advancing Crater Lake as a primary North American scandium source. Recall, the 2025 43-101 MRE set the ~700m TG outline that this campaign is trying to stretch.

Next catalysts are bulk-sample assays, extension and delineation results, and any update that resets TG strike length or resource tonnage.

Shares of SCD / SCDCF rose 15.4% and 17.4% to C$0.225 and US$0.16, respectively on strong volume.
