Record copper prices above US$6.75 per pound provided an immediate catalyst for junior exploration today, as structural demand from data centers and power infrastructure collides with persistent Chilean supply constraints. Against this bullish macro backdrop, reporting first-pass rock sampling with copper grades exceeding 1% quickly draws market attention to early-stage North American projects.

Copper One Resources Corp. (CSE: CEXY) (OTCID: CEXYF) moved higher Tuesday following initial surface assay results from a 50-sample reconnaissance program at the Sport Project in Utah's historic San Francisco Mining District. Copper One is acquiring the asset through a proposed purchase of Rooinek Mining Corp.

The first-pass program returned high-grade surface values highlighted by sample SP002 at 1.155% copper and 0.82 g/t silver, alongside sample SP044 at 0.819% copper and 3.44 g/t silver. Field consultants noted visible malachite and chalcopyrite within mineralized outcrops. Geological mapping suggests copper-silver mineralization is hosted along structural fault conduits and breccia zones on trend with the adjacent Cactus copper-gold project. The Sport asset covers 108 unpatented lode claims across approximately 1,902 acres on BLM land in Beaver County.

Next primary catalysts include closing the Rooinek Mining Corp. acquisition, expanding surface mapping and geophysical surveys across the Sport claims, and receiving gold fire assay results for all reconnaissance samples.

Following the news, shares of CEXY / CEXYF are up 19.3% to C$0.68 and 22.0% to US$0.50.
