When trenching across an underexplored shear corridor returns multi-gram intercepts backed by individual samples above 100 g/t gold, the market prices in target continuity and expanded oxide potential along strike.

Zodiac Gold Inc. (TSX-Venture: ZAU) (OTC:ZAUIF) advanced 8.2% Tuesday after reporting surface trench results from the Lewis North target at its flagship Todi Gold Project in Liberia. Trench LWT003 returned 58.0 metres grading 3.15 g/t gold, including a higher-grade sub-interval of 11.0 metres at 15.40 g/t gold and a single 1.0-metre sample assaying 158.0 g/t gold.

LWT003 was collared approximately 310 metres west of earlier trenching, extending the known strike length of the emerging 1.8-kilometre Lewis North target footprint. The Todi Project encompasses a 16-kilometre structural corridor along the Monterra Trend. In early September, Zodiac confirmed a parallel 1.8-kilometre trend at Lewis South, where trenching returned 52.0 metres at 0.71 g/t gold (including 19.0 metres at 1.51 g/t gold), demonstrating broad surface mineralization across the southeastern flank of the property.

Next primary catalysts include additional surface trenching updates from parallel structural targets along the Monterra Trend and technical integration ahead of planned follow-up diamond drilling.

Shares of ZAU rose 14.7% to C$0.35 and shares of ZAUIF are up 13.8% to US$0.25.
