Lithium has become an increasingly hot commodity given its use in sustainable ventures including electric vehicles and wind turbines. With the political and regulatory climate pushing businesses to lower global emissions, this company looks to be in the right place at the right time.

After a full year wait, Franklin Mining (OTC Pink: FMNJ) received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) to raise up to ten million dollars of funding. Last week, the company received the first sum of money to begin the development phase of mining lithium in Catamarca, Argentina.

The company’s press release stated the firm plans to begin mining in the Lithium Triangle an area of over 1600 hectares of land.

Shares closed Friday trade at $0.015
