U.S. homebuilders and insulation suppliers are entering the heart of the 2026 construction season after a slow start tied to harsh winter weather, and small-cap manufacturers with rising order flow and clean balance sheets have drawn added attention. Products that meet tighter building codes for continuous exterior insulation and moisture control continue to gain traction as contractors look for house-wrap options that can cut redundant labor and layering on new builds.

Innovative Designs, Inc. (OTCQB: IVDN) shares jumped Wednesday after the Pittsburgh-based company reported fiscal second quarter results showing continued revenue growth and a seventh consecutive profitable quarter. For the three months ended April 30, 2026, Innovative Designs posted total revenue of $808,666, which management said significantly exceeded the prior-year second quarter and ranked as the second-highest quarterly sales total in company history. It was only the second time the company has topped $800,000 in a single quarter, reflecting accelerating shipments late in the period as national building activity improved with better weather. Fiscal 2026 year-to-date revenue has reached nearly $2M, putting the company on pace for a potential record annual sales year with increasing profitability.

Innovative Designs said it maintains a strong cash position with no long-term or convertible debt outstanding and about 38 million shares outstanding. Management is advancing independent laboratory testing with BRC Laboratories aimed at renewed high-level product certifications for Insultex House Wrap, which could qualify the product for a wider customer base and larger projects. Insultex is marketed as a patented evacuated-cell house wrap that adds an R-6 moisture-barrier membrane in a single application, without additional insulation boards or support materials required by many competing wraps, helping meet code requirements for continuous insulation on new construction.

Randy Kimbler, director of business development for Built Link Solutions, said the 2026 building season is in full swing, with new material suppliers coming onboard and repeat orders rising as customers learn about Insultex. Innovative Designs said production increases are underway to meet rising demand ahead of the anticipated lift from the certification program.

IVDN shares rose 38% to $0.29 in late-morning trading Wednesday.
