With the risk-on trade continuing after a de-escalation between the United States and Europe over Greenland, investors are returning their focus to fundamentals, and those fundamentals remain strong. Today, a lithium miner released impressive results from its 2025 field season, sparking a wave of buying in the stock as lithium spot prices near multi-year highs.

Libra Energy Materials (CSE: LIBR) (OTCQB: LIBRF) and KoBold Metals announced strong results from their 2025 field season at the Kobra Projects near Thunder Bay, Ontario. The program, conducted under the six-year, CAD $33 million earn-in agreement funded by KoBold, marks the first full exploration season using KoBold’s AI and machine-learning tools alongside Libra’s exploration expertise. The summer campaign identified multiple new lithium-bearing pegmatites across the Kobra properties, including spodumene occurrences at SBC with surface samples up to 2.08% lithium oxide and notable tantalum grades, as well as new mineralized zones at Flanders South featuring amblygonite and cassiterite, one of the highest-grade tin occurrences publicly reported in Ontario.

Since 2023, the team has now identified more than twenty lithium-bearing pegmatite outcrops across the Kobra Projects, all of which remain undrilled and show strong fractionation trends indicating substantial potential for lithium, tantalum, and tin. The 2025 program also deployed advanced geophysical surveys, including KoBold’s proprietary HyperPod platform, which generated new targets and improved geological understanding ahead of a planned follow-up field season in 2026. Additionally, KoBold fulfilled its minimum CAD $750,000 expenditure commitment for the year under the earn-in agreement.

Libra's Chief Executive Officer and Director, Koby Kushner stated the following regarding the Company's recent activity - "Since our inaugural exploration program in 2023 and now accelerating with KoBold in 2025, we have successfully discovered more than twenty lithium-bearing pegmatite outcrops across the Kobra Projects alone – all of which have yet to see a drill hole. While lithium has been the primary focus, additional pegmatites have returned high-grade tantalum and tin – including a newly discovered pegmatite outcrop at Flanders South that returned one of the highest-grade tin occurrences that has been publicly disclosed in the province. As a reminder, the Kobra Projects, which are under earn-in by KoBold, represent three of thirty-seven projects – with the remaining projects being 100% owned by Libra. Meanwhile, the lithium market has recovered, with spot prices now approaching multi-year highs, providing us an opportune time to be more communicative with our investors as we kick-off 2026 – which is expected to be our most active year yet, with continued exploration planned across Canada and Brazil."

Shares of LIBR are currently up 27.27% at $0.28, while the U.S.-listed shares (LIBRF) are down slightly, trading at $0.177 as the U.S. listing remains thinly-traded.
