The company announced the release of its Overwatch Drone Controller app, alongside a new engagement with a defense-focused drone manufacturer in India.

The Overwatch Drone Controller app is designed to significantly simplify deployment of SPARC AI’s GPS-denied navigation and targeting platform. According to the company, compatible drone systems can now connect to Overwatch in under one minute through a single download, eliminating the need for complex integration processes. This streamlined approach is intended to reduce friction for drone manufacturers and enterprise users looking to incorporate advanced navigation capabilities into existing systems.

Distribution of the app is expected to span multiple channels, including the Google Play Store, direct downloads through the Overwatch platform, and access through developer communities. By opening the platform to original equipment manufacturers and developers, SPARC AI is positioning its technology for broader adoption across both defense and commercial markets, where ease of integration can be a key differentiator.

In addition to the product launch, the company announced that a leading Indian defense drone manufacturer will be among the first to evaluate the Overwatch solution. The partner operates within a growing segment of the market that is shifting toward smaller, lower-cost drones designed for mass deployment, increasing reliance on software solutions that can enhance performance without adding hardware complexity.

SPARC AI continues to build momentum in the Middle East. Following a previously announced order for its Mobile NAV solution in Dubai, the company has entered into a non-disclosure agreement with another major defense contractor in the United Arab Emirates to explore potential applications of its technology across both drone and mobile platforms.

The company’s broader strategy centers on delivering a software-only solution that leverages existing inertial sensors within commercial drones, transforming them into precision navigation tools without the need for additional hardware or external signals. This approach aligns with industry demand for scalable systems that can be deployed across large fleets while maintaining cost efficiency.

While shares of SPAI closed Tuesday lower, down 12.9% to C$2.09, and U.S.-listed shares (SPAIF) fell 10.8% to $1.52, the stock has delivered significant gains over the past year, rising more than 1,000% as investor interest in defense technology and autonomous systems continues to build.
