Stitch Fix Boosts Growth With Category Expansion & AI Personalization

Stitch Fix SFIX is broadening its assortment while using artificial intelligence (AI) and data to enhance personalization. In the third quarter of fiscal 2026, revenues increased 4.7% year over year to $340.3 million, while revenue per active client rose 6.6% to a record $578. The company ended the quarter with 2.3 million active clients, up 21,000, reflecting improving engagement.

Category expansion remains a key opportunity to increase wallet share. Stitch Fix estimates that achieving its fair share in activewear and athleisure, footwear and accessories could unlock approximately $1 billion in incremental revenues. Women’s activewear and athleisure grew 50% year over year, while men’s shorts, short-sleeve woven tops and casual shoes each advanced more than 30%.

The company is adding products and brands across these categories. Women’s sunglasses were launched with Le Specs, AIRE and KEEP, while footwear was expanded with Frye and continued growth from Adidas and New Balance. Activewear additions included Outdoor Voices, Mob & Golf, Spiritual Gangster and Cotopaxi. Fair Harbor was  added to men’s and kids’ swimwear, supporting broader head-to-toe outfitting.

AI is further strengthening the personalized shopping experience. Stitch Fix Vision creates personalized imagery of clients in shoppable outfits based on their style profiles and current trends. Clients using Vision have generated more than a 100% lift in Freestyle spending over 90 days. The company is expanding Vision to let clients create images around looks of their choosing, while AI supports inventory management, pricing, marketing and private-brand development.

The combination of broader categories and AI-driven personalization is strengthening Stitch Fix’s ability to capture more client wallet share and deepen engagement. Reflecting confidence in these initiatives and resilient client engagement, management raised fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to $1.346-$1.351 billion from $1.33-$1.35 billion previously, implying 6.2-6.6% growth. Adjusted EBITDA guidance was  raised to $49-$52 million, with free cash flow expected to remain positive.
