Germany is Europe’s most mature legal cannabis market. And this  Canadian company just successfully exported a dried flower grown at its Niagara facility.

Global cannabis product and service provider Aleafia Health Inc. (TSX:AH) made an important breakthrough, announcing that dried flower grown at its Niagara greenhouse facility has been successfully exported to Germany. This marks the second major export market for the firm, following shipments that will be made in June to Australia.

These breakthroughs represent a new sales channel for the company. The European cannabis market is expected to be worth $4.7 billion by 2025, with Germany alone representing nearly half the total market size, according to research from Prohibition Partners.

Shares have been trending upward since falling from a high of $1.28 seen in late February. In early-morning trade, AH was trading at $0.44.
