Chile Copper Explorer Gains 19% on 795m Porphyry Hit

In copper-gold porphyry exploration, returning a broad, continuous intercept across an inaugural drill campaign is the definitive test of target scale. When new diamond drilling confirms depth and grade continuity within a structural footprint previously tested by major miners, it validates the underlying geological model and provides immediate physical proof of system-scale potential before formal resource estimation begins.

Irruptive Metals Corp. (TSX-Venture: IRR) advanced Thursday after releasing complete assay results from its inaugural diamond drilling program at the Pimentón project in Chile's V Region. The standout result came from hole IMP002, which intersected 795.2m grading 0.66% copper equivalent from 167m to the end of the hole at 962.2m, including a higher-grade core of 60m at 1.49% copper equivalent (1.37 g/t gold and 0.31% copper).

The 3,084m, four-hole program targeted the Central zone, an area previously tested by Rio Tinto and Anglo American. Geologically, the drilling defines a northeast-trending corridor of copper-gold porphyry dykes measuring roughly 600m long by 300m wide that remains open to the east, southeast, northeast, and west. Step-out holes IMP001, IMP003, and IMP004 all intersected similar porphyry-style mineralization, confirming system continuity. Irruptive is targeting an initial inferred mineral resource estimate in Q1 2027 following follow-up step-out drilling and the resampling of historical core.

Next catalysts include follow-up drilling at the Central target, updated geophysical surveys, and ongoing environmental permitting for regional satellite targets.

Shares of IRR rose 19.2% to $1.49 on the TSX Venture Exchange on volume of 150K.
