Dually-Listed Junior Miner Hits Visible Gold in Yukon Drilling, Stock Pops Over 12%

On an overall risk-off trading day, the gold sector stands out as one of the few areas showing strength amid ongoing debt concerns and geopolitical uncertainties. With gold prices continuing to climb and hovering near all-time highs, one miner is adding to the momentum with a drill hole update that's sending its stock sharply higher.

Shares of Sitka Gold Corp. (TSX-Venture: SIG) (OTCQB: SITKF) are on the move higher as the dually-listed miner announced this morning the discovery of multiple occurrences of visible gold in the first drill holes of the 2025 summer field season at its RC Gold Project in the Yukon’s Tombstone Gold Belt. The company has launched a fully funded 30,000-metre drill campaign, more than doubling the total drilling conducted since 2020. Three diamond drills are currently active, with a fourth rig on site. This year’s drilling is primarily focused on expanding the Blackjack and Eiger deposits, while also exploring the Saddle zone, which shows potential to connect the two deposits based on geological observations and strong gold-in-soil anomalies.

Visible gold has been observed in all drill holes completed so far this season, including Hole 76, which was extended from 810.8 m to 944.9 m, making it the deepest hole ever drilled at Blackjack. Notably, drill holes DDRCCC-25-078 and 079 mark the first-time visible gold has been encountered at the Eiger deposit. Assay results for all drill holes are currently pending. The drilling campaign also aims to advance several high-priority gold targets within the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex, reinforcing Sitka’s commitment to unlocking the full potential of the RC Gold Project.

Shares of SIG are currently up 12.09% at $0.51 while U.S. listed shares (SITKF) are rallying 9.1% at $0.3645 in late-morning trading.
