(TSX: BU) (OTCQB: BRCNF) are on the move higher as the company announced this morning that they have successfully completed the first commercial production run of their Peazazz®C pea protein at the Company’s Galesburg, Illinois facility. This milestone represents a major step in the company’s commercial scale-up efforts. CEO Kip Underwood noted that the facility became operational in less than 90 days since commissioning, positioning Burcon to meet growing customer demand and pursue significant revenue opportunities.

Looking ahead, Burcon expects to generate $1–3 million in revenue in 2025 and surpass $10 million in 2026, with positive cash flow projected that same year. As production ramps up through the second half of 2025, the company is finalizing customer supply agreements that will support recurring revenue. The Galesburg facility offers the capacity needed to scale operations and advance Burcon’s strategic growth plan, solidifying its role as a key player in the plant-based protein market.

Shares of BU are currently up 9.52% at $0.115 while U.S. listed shares (BRCNF) have moved in the other direction, down 5% at $0.0798 in mid-morning trading.
