Personalized medicine is steadily moving beyond the traditional one-size-fits-all approach as advances in biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and digital manufacturing create new opportunities to tailor therapies for individual patients. Pharmaceutical 3D printing has emerged as one of the more intriguing technologies in this evolution, offering the potential to customize dosage, release profiles, and even combine multiple active ingredients into a single treatment.
Shares of PharmaTher Holdings Ltd. (CSE: PHRM ) (OTCQB: PHRRF ) are drawing attention Wednesday after the company announced a collaboration with Singapore-based Craft Health Pte. Ltd. to evaluate the CraftMake™ GMP-ready pharmaceutical 3D printing platform for PharmaTher's Personaliz3D Peptides™ initiative. The collaboration is intended to accelerate the development of personalized peptide therapies while exploring a broader commercial relationship supporting qualified compounding pharmacies.
PharmaTher is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on personalized medicines, particularly peptides and psychedelics. The company recently introduced Personaliz3D Peptides™, an integrated platform designed to connect physician oversight, telemedicine, qualified pharmacies, artificial intelligence, pharmaceutical development, and 3D printing technologies into a unified ecosystem for personalized peptide care.
Under the collaboration, the companies will evaluate novel peptide formulations while assessing CraftMake™ as a reproducible manufacturing platform capable of producing personalized doses, combination therapies, controlled release formulations, and differentiated dosage forms. PharmaTher also intends to explore deploying the technology with qualified Section 503A compounding pharmacies as part of its broader commercialization strategy.
Craft Health's integrated platform combines pharmaceutical hardware, workflow software, and proprietary printable formulations. The CraftMake™ printer uses a room temperature, semi-solid extrusion process that avoids heat and ultraviolet curing, an approach designed to preserve sensitive peptide ingredients during manufacturing. The system can produce multiple geometries, multi-material products, and pill-in-pill configurations used for taste masking or sequential release, with the company reporting dosing accuracy of approximately ±1% and repeatability greater than 99% on its GMP-ready production platform.
The collaboration will initially evaluate six peptide candidates: BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, MOTS-c, Epitalon, and Semax. All six were recently recommended by the FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee for inclusion on the Section 503A Bulks List, which aligns the evaluation directly with PharmaTher's compounding pharmacy strategy. Planned work includes customized dosing configurations, single and combination peptide formulations, immediate, delayed, and sustained release designs, and alternative dosage formats such as oral thin films and gummies.
"Personaliz3D Peptides™ is not intended to simply repackage traditional compounding," said Fabio Chianelli, Chief Executive Officer of PharmaTher, adding that the objective is a repeatable technology and formulation platform giving qualified providers greater control over dose, combination, release profile, and dosage format.
Rather than building pharmaceutical 3D printing technology internally, PharmaTher expects the relationship to let it concentrate resources on priority peptide formulations, differentiated dosage forms, and adoption by qualified pharmacy and healthcare partners.
Shares of PHRM are flat at C$0.06 in early Wednesday trading, while U.S.-listed PHRRF is up 14.1% to $0.046.
