Junior Miner Ignites 12.5% Surge on Major Copper-Gold Discovery in Chile

Although U.S. markets are closed for Thanksgiving, Canadian markets remain open, albeit with lighter-than-usual trading volume. Taking advantage of the quieter day, one junior miner released a notable update that quickly caught investors’ attention. The strong drill results appear to be generating renewed interest in the stock as the market weighs their potential impact on the company’s future.

Hot Chili Limited (TSX-Venture: HCH) (OTCQX: HHLKF) has released promising results from its La Verde copper-gold discovery in coastal Chile, confirming a major mineral find. The first diamond drillhole, DKD032, delivered an impressive 529 metres of mineralisation averaging 0.41% copper and 0.21 g/t gold starting from just 41 metres. Within that, there were two standout intervals: 148 metres grading 0.60% copper and 0.30 g/t gold from 70 metres, and 66 metres at 0.45% copper and 0.31 g/t gold beginning at 295 metres. This drillhole successfully twinned and expanded the earlier DKP002 discovery, extending the mineralised zone laterally and vertically with mineralisation continuing all the way to the bottom of the hole.

Phase two drilling at La Verde began in late September 2025 and has now completed six diamond drillholes, totalling 2,700 metres—with assays for five holes still pending. All completed holes intersected broad intervals of copper porphyry-style mineralisation, suggesting the system is robust and widening. The new data confirms the convergence of higher-grade copper-gold zones at depth and significantly expands the northeastern high-grade mineralisation area. These developments strongly support the potential growth of the Costa Fuego Mineral Resource and indicate a larger operational scope than previously anticipated.

Shares of HCH are currently up 12.5% at $0.90 in mid-morning trading.
