With gold prices hovering near record highs and investors flocking to hard assets amid global uncertainty, mining companies with verified reserves are drawing renewed attention. Independent certification remains the gold standard for credibility, and one small cap miner just hit a major milestone that could reshape its trajectory heading into 2026.

Shares of Buscar Company (OTCID: CGLD) are moving higher Friday after the company announced the completion of an independent NI 43-101 Technical Report for its Treasure Canyon Gold Mine in Plumas County, California. The report, prepared by Qualified Person Dr. Abe Beagles of Mother Lode Mining, validates the project’s immense economic potential, confirming a combined gross in-situ value of approximately $117.16 billion across proven and probable reserves that include gold, silver, platinum-group metals, and rare earth elements.

According to the findings, Treasure Canyon hosts a continuous alluvial channel averaging 51 feet deep over 200 acres, with an estimated 24.68 million tons of mineralized mass. Proven reserves are valued at roughly $34.55 billion, while probable reserves total $82.61 billion, supported by robust assay data. The study outlines grades averaging 3.15 g/t gold equivalent, translating to approximately 88,300 ounces of contained gold, and highlights an impressive 92% recovery rate through reagent-free gravity concentration methods.

A key innovation featured in the report is Dr. Beagles’ proprietary Plasma Extractor System (PES), a technology designed to recover monoatomic and colloidal gold from black sands. Early data suggest PES could enhance recovered values by 3 to 15 times the assayed amounts, pending independent verification. With startup capital requirements estimated at $1.25 million and annual operating costs near $590,000, the mine’s projected pre-tax margins exceed 35%, positioning it for near-term profitability even at current metal prices.

Beyond the financials, Buscar emphasized its commitment to sustainable mining. The project integrates mercury remediation and riparian habitat restoration in collaboration with the Lori Jane Foundation, meeting stringent state and federal environmental standards while generating local employment. Following the NI 43-101 completion, Buscar and its subsidiary Eon Discovery Inc. plan to begin pilot-scale production in early 2026, integrating PES technology and advancing toward SEC-compliant SK-1300 reporting.

“We are exhilarated by the NI 43-101 findings, which affirm Treasure Canyon’s extraordinary $117 billion gross in-situ value and its role as a pivotal element in our natural resources strategy,” said Alexander Dekhtyar, Chairman and CEO of Buscar Company.

Shares of CGLD are up 9.1% to $0.12 in Friday morning trading.
