Nuclear energy is experiencing a renaissance as utilities and tech giants scramble to secure reliable, carbon-free baseload power. Data centers powering AI development are driving unprecedented electricity demand, while traditional energy consumers recognize nuclear as the only proven solution for 24/7 clean power at scale. This convergence is creating intense competition for domestic uranium supply.

Shares of Noble Plains Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: NOBL) (OTCQB: NBLXF) are climbing Tuesday after the company reported an 81% success rate over its latest sixteen drill holes at the Duck Creek Project in Wyoming's Powder River Basin. The results build on strong initial findings released December 1st, confirming geological continuity along a 3-mile mineralized corridor situated between two of North America's largest uranium producers.

Notable intercepts from the latest batch include hole 25-28-009, which intersected 28.5 feet of 0.08% eU₃O₈ (including 6 feet at 0.18% eU₃O₈), hole 25-28-010 with 29 feet at 0.043% eU₃O₈ (including 4.5 feet at 0.10% eU₃O₈), and hole 25-28-024 returning 13 feet at 0.07% eU₃O₈ (including 8 feet at 0.10% eU₃O₈). Of the sixteen new holes, thirteen intersected uranium mineralization with an average Grade-Thickness of 0.69 GT—more than three times the industry standard 0.2 GT cutoff typically used for Wyoming roll-front deposits.

CEO Drew Zimmerman emphasized the significance of the consistent results, We are consistently intersecting strong mineralisation along a 3-mile corridor, reinforcing our conviction that this is an asset capable of delivering real leverage to the uranium market. We are focused on converting historical work into updated pounds in the ground efficiently.

The Duck Creek project targets In Situ Recovery (ISR) uranium, the most capital-efficient and environmentally responsible extraction method. The company's drilling program, permitted for up to 37,400 feet across approximately 150 holes, focuses on three key objectives: confirming 1,317 historic intercepts to support an NI 43-101 resource estimate, expanding shallow mineralization along the Wasatch roll-front corridor, and conducting first-ever drilling of the deeper Fort Union Formation where neighboring projects host the majority of their compliant resources.

Paul Cowley, COO, noted the results demonstrate continuity and strength of the roll-front system being defined in previously undrilled areas, with solid thicknesses and grades emerging from the ongoing campaign.

Noble Plains filed a Technical Report in August 2025 outlining an exploration target ranging from 2.37 million tons at 0.03% U₃O₈ to 5.45 million tons at 0.05% U₃O₈, though this remains conceptual and doesn't yet meet mineral resource standards. The company aims to deliver an NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate in the first half of 2026.

Shares of NOBL are up 8.0% to C$0.135 in Tuesday morning trading, while U.S. shares of NBLXF are up 6.8% to $0.1015.
