Junior Miner Breaks Out on Major Copper-Molybdenum Drill Hit By: Tomas Ronolski - AllPennyStocks.com News

As copper catches up to its gold and silver counterparts in the all-time price race, this massive commodity rally has made mining companies the hottest ticket in town, at least for now, even outpacing AI stocks. Today, one miner grabbed headlines with new drill results, prompting investors to bid up its shares.

What’s notable is that, aside from today’s move, the stock has remained range-bound since early 2025. We’ll be watching closely to see whether that changes in the coming days and weeks.

Vanguard Mining Corp. (CSE: UUU) (OTC: UUUFF) released assay results from the first phase of its 2025 diamond drilling program at the 100%-owned Redonda Copper–Molybdenum Project in British Columbia, confirming a substantial expansion of the mineralized system. Hole 25-01 intersected long intervals of copper and molybdenum mineralization beginning near surface and continuing to depth, significantly extending the higher-grade zone encountered in earlier drilling. The new results more than double the length of higher-grade mineralization defined in cross-section compared to the company’s 2023 program, underscoring the growing scale of the system.

The hole was drilled to a depth of more than 510 metres and returned consistent mineralization throughout, with lower-grade copper-molybdenum continuing beyond the bottom of the hole, indicating the system remains open at depth. A second hole, drilled vertically and offset from previous drilling, also intersected broad mineralization near surface, further confirming lateral and vertical continuity. Collectively, the results demonstrate a large, expanding copper-molybdenum system at Redonda, and with a valid permit already in place, Vanguard is positioned to continue drilling during the 2026 exploration season.

David Greenway, CEO of Vanguard Mining Corp., commented: “These results represent a meaningful step forward for the Redonda Project. The 2025 drilling successfully expanded the mineralized system well beyond the limits of the 2023 program, confirming continuity and scale. As copper demand continues to grow in support of the global energy transition, results such as these reinforce our belief that Redonda has the potential to host a large copper-molybdenum system. With a drill permit in place, we are well positioned to advance the project through additional drilling in 2026 and continue unlocking value for shareholders.”

Shares of UUU are currently up 23.53% at $0.21, while U.S. listed shares (UUUFF) pop 33.92% at $0.1613 in late-morning trading.
