Ouster, Inc. OUST continued to focus on strategic execution and expansion, launching Rev8 in the second quarter of 2026, the world’s first native color LiDAR sensor. Rev8 establishes a new benchmark in 3D spatial perception. Designed for functional safety and large-scale deployment, Rev8 is gaining traction across Ouster’s key markets, including mining, construction, robotaxis and transportation infrastructure.
Customer adoption was reflected in several orders exceeding $1 million, including from the world’s largest heavy machinery manufacturer, a leading autonomous agriculture equipment developer and a major autonomous vehicle provider. Ouster also secured a significant contract with the Utah Department of Transportation for its largest LiDAR deployment to date, covering several hundred intersections across the state.
The company also introduced advanced BlueCity detection powered by the Rev8 OS1Max, offering twice the range and resolution of previous generations and multimodal detection and classification capabilities of up to 500 feet. Advanced BlueCity detection could expand the types of roads and traffic environments where Ouster's LiDAR can be deployed, increasing the company's addressable market and potentially driving larger deployments.
Ouster is also expanding its LiDAR production capacity to support rising demand. The company expects unit volume growth to continue as adoption of physical AI accelerates. Its production run rate is expected to increase from about 40,000 units annually toward 100,000 units, with further capacity expansion likely to ensure sufficient headroom for customer demand and last-minute product SKU changes. OUST currently carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell).
