Despite a relatively downbeat day on the broader markets, pockets of strength remain. One standout is a micro-cap mining company that has reported strong soil gas survey results from its Nova Scotia project. The findings not only mark a company record but are also considered exceptional for Eastern Canada.

Quebec Innovative Materials Corp. (CSE: QIMC) (OTCQB: QIMCF) announced this morning strong results from a soil gas survey at its West Advocate property in Cumberland Township, Nova Scotia. The program revealed numerous high-grade hydrogen anomalies, with more than 65 samples topping 500 ppm. Of these, 21 samples exceeded 1,000 ppm, including standout readings of 2,047 ppm, 2,458 ppm, 2,885 ppm, and a company-record 5,558 ppm.

"These multiple hydrogen soil gas results exceeding 1,000 ppm — including numerous samples above 2,000 ppm — represent a breakthrough for QIMC and the Canadian natural hydrogen sector," said John Karagiannidis, President of QIMC. "They validate our exploration model, confirm the region's natural hydrogen assets, and highlight the world-class expertise of our team."

Prof. Marc Richer-LaFlèche of INRS, who supervised the geochemical survey, added: "These concentrations are considered by the INRS team to be exceptionally high and currently unequalled in soils in Eastern Canada."

Shares of QIMC are currently up 17.5% at $0.235 while U.S. listed shares trade 14.38% higher at $0.1701 in mid-morning trading.
