Silver, copper, and gold have all been on a strong run recently as rising demand from technologies such as AI continues to consume these resources. Gold’s rally, in particular, has been further supported by geopolitical uncertainty, currency debasement, and broader macroeconomic concerns. Overall, it has been a favorable environment for commodity traders, and one micro-cap company is enhancing its appeal to investors with the announcement of two new mining projects in South America.

American Lithium Minerals Inc. (OTCID: AMLM) announced this morning the acquisition of two highly prospective mining projects in Chile, significantly expanding its asset base beyond lithium. The company has secured exclusive options to acquire 100% ownership of the La Grande Plata silver project and the Furano copper-gold porphyry project from Aeramentum Resources Limited, an Australian private exploration firm. The transaction positions AMLM within Chile’s well-established mining corridor and aligns with its strategy of targeting high-potential precious and base metal assets with near-term exploration upside.

Under the agreement, AMLM will leverage Aeramentum’s completed due diligence and exploration planning while making payments primarily in company securities, with additional milestone-based consideration tied to discoveries. The La Grande Plata project, located in northern Chile near major infrastructure, is a large-scale, high-sulphidation silver system featuring extensive mineralized strike length and strong surface grades. The project is drill-ready with permitted pads, established access, and a planned initial drill program, and it shares geological similarities with nearby world-class deposits operated by major mining companies.

The Furano project adds further scale and diversity to AMLM’s portfolio, covering a large land package in the Tarapacá Region near existing copper operations. Historical drilling has already intersected meaningful copper and gold mineralization, with multiple holes ending in mineralization and remaining open at depth. Geological characteristics suggest a significant porphyry system comparable to some of Chile’s largest copper deposits, and the project benefits from excellent infrastructure and a planned drill campaign following geophysical surveys in 2026.

Shares of AMLM are currently up 19.71% at $0.088 in late-morning trading.
